But Luke Harrington will be out and about in the Bendigo CBD, playing three sets as part of the Easter Blues Bender.
His performances follow on from some solo gigs at the Bendigo Blues and Roots Music Festival.
“Last year was my fourth blues and roots festival,” he said.
“I started off playing with my mum (when I was 11) but the last two festivals I have done solo shows.”
Harrington developed a taste for the blues sound after hearing it around the house as a young boy.
He recently recorded a 12-track original album.
“I recorded it in September and the CD has just been finished a few days ago,” he said.
“I will eventually have a launch but not straight away. The blues can be about anything so there are some themes of love and more thoughtful things in there.”
Luke Harrington kicked his Easter weekend off with a set at Lansell Gardens in Pall Mall on Friday.
He is one of more than 20 acts playing the Easter Blues Bender in Bendigo this weekend.
Also playing are entertaining duo Lily and King, Queenslander Hailey Calvert and blues legend Geoff Achison.
He plays at the View Street end of Rosalind Park at 5pm on Saturday and Lansell Gardens in Pall Mall at noon on Sunday.
