The move follows comments made by Mr Jones in which he said Prime Minister Julia Gillard's father ''died of shame''.
The network’s Executive Chairman Russell Tatte says the reaction to Jones's remarks had forced it to ‘‘call time out’’ for advertisers.
He says the nature, tone and volume of the reaction to Jones's remarks, and in particular the threats being made through social media to companies advertising on his program and the disruption being caused to their businesses, made this necessary.
Mr Tate says there’s almost universal agreement that Jones's remarks were unacceptable, wrong and inexcusable.
