Representing Victoria, Marron and his team-mates overcame South Australia 20-14 in the third versus fourth play-off.
In Marron’s other match, his Victorian fours team avoided the wooden spoon after Northern Territory forfeited.
Kyneton’s Chloe Stewart finished just outside the medal positions in fourth after a play-off loss to her Western Australian opponent 21-12.
Stewart and Tayla Morison just edged the ACT into fifth place in the girls’ pairs with a thrilling 17-16 victory.
Western Australia was crowned the Robert Middleton Trophy-winners as the overall champion state after a dominant final day at the North Launceston Bowls Club.
The Sandgropers finished the competition with two gold, two silver and two bronze from the eight disciplines and won the boys’ and girls’ titles.
Victoria did not win a gold or silver medal, but picked up two bronze for the event by also winning the girls’ triples.
