The woman fled Apco Easy Shop in McIvor Road with a sum of money at 8pm.
Police were still investigating the theft and are appealing for public assistance to help catch the woman.
Bendigo police’s Sergeant Rosie Rowe urged anyone with information to contact the police.
The armed robbery came less than half an hour after another unrelated incident at Coles Liquorland in the CBD.
A man has been charged with armed robbery after he allegedly held-up the store with a knife at 7.38pm on Saturday.
He fled with money, but was arrested a short distance from the store. The man was remanded in custody and was to appear at the Bendigo Magistrates Court today.
Sergeant Rowe said that apart from the incidents, grand final revellers were well behaved throughout the city. “As far as grand final day was concerned, most people went about it the right way,” she said.
“We didn’t have many problems outside the nightspots.
“Most people just enjoyed the footy and had a good night.”
