O’Bryen will be one of 20 volunteers to be recognised at a Cricket Victoria breakfast on day three of the Boxing Day Test at the MCG.
Nominated by associations and clubs, the volunteers come from a range of roles including scoring, team managers, coaching, curating, umpiring, committee members and historians.
"Volunteers are the lifeblood of our sport and our recipients highlight the many diverse roles in cricket,” Cricket Victoria chief cxecutive officer Tony Dodemaide said.
“I would like to thank this year’s recipients as well as all of the volunteers across the state for their continued support and tireless efforts to help our game thrive.”
