Real-life Disney princess Miley Cyrus, star of the Hannah Montana series, has been trying to break the shackles of parental and company expectations for some time now and it seems she may have finally succeeded.

Cyrus has slowly been sexing up her image over the last couple of years, much to the ire of certain US religious groups, but the campaign has gone into overdrive of late.

In the last six months alone the teenage star – she is still only 19 – has announced her engagement to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, filmed her first movie sex scene and has undergone a makeover, chopping off the long brown locks for an edgy cropped blonde look.

In case the message that the young star has grown up wasn't being received, she has gone a step further and booked in a guest star appearance on Two and a Half Men.

If ever a young actress wanted to break her good girl image surely a guest spot on the show that celebrates sexism and sleaze is the way to do it.

Despite appearances - photos released show Cyrus dressed in lingerie and sharing a bed with the show's resident womaniser Ashton Kutcher - Cyrus's character is apparently a love interest for the more age appropriate Jake Harper (Angus T. Jones).

Season 10 of the popular show kicks off this week in the US however Cyrus won't make an appearance until mid-October.
