The 2011 SEABL east conference MVP will suit up for his third season with the club in 2013.
The 203cm post player was a fan favourite during his time in Bendigo and was also popular with his team-mates.
McFarlin helped the Braves to two east conference titles in 2010 and 2011.
McFarlin, 31, provides the Braves with some surety on and off the court next season after this year's imports - Daniel Horton and Deilvez Yearby - disappointed the club with their efforts in the community.
A former NBA player with the Philadelphia 76ers, McFarlin played in Japan last season.
He averaged 19.4 points, 13.9 rebounds during his debut SEABL season in 2010 and was named in the east conference All-Star Five.
McFarlin then averaged 16.5 points and 15.8 rebounds in his east conference MVP season.
