Peter Colliver, 49, appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates Court yesterday and faced several charges of stalking and using a carriage service to harass.
The matter was listed for a plea but defence counsel sought adjournment of the matter.
“My client has thought about this and elected to ask the court for a contest date,” Colliver’s defence lawyer said.
“This matter has already had a contest mention, it’s had quite a long history, but, in any case, Mr Colliver denies it.”
The court heard the hearing would most likely take two days, because there were two informants in relation to the matters and a total of 12 charges between the two briefs.
Police allege most of Colliver’s offending occurred after he was fired from the retail company where he worked in 2010.
Colliver’s bail has been extended and he will appear in the Bendigo Magistrates Court on January 30.
