IT’S time to dust off the Christmas hats and ready the vocal cords as the Christmas carol season begins in earnest this weekend.
Heathcote will get the ball rolling on Saturday night, with their carols at Barrack Reserve starting at 7pm and finishing at 9.30pm.
Axedale and Eaglehawk will both hold their carols on Sunday night.
The Axedale and district community carols run from 6pm to 9pm at Axedale Park, including bands from local schools, the Axedale in Harmony choir and the Bendigo Brass Band.
The Eaglehawk carols, held in the Canterbury Gardens, will include performances by the Eaglehawk Citizens Brass Band, along with guest artists and a barbecue dinner.
The carols will run from 7pm to 9.30pm.
The traditional Rotary Club of Bendigo Christmas Carols will be held in the picturesque Rosalind Park on the night of Sunday, December 20.
Running from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, the carols include a range of performances from local singers and musicians, as well as a barbecue and traditional carols.
