The last day of term at Catholic College Bendigo became a colourful Founders’ Day celebration. Students dressed in house colours for a range of music and acting presentations and gathered at the school’s La Valla campus where Founders’ Day awards were given out.

A fashion parade was held for the best costumes. Bands hit the stage for “Rock in the Quad” and students and staff set up “Mission Marts” selling food and offering fun activities to raise money for the Marist and Mercy Missions.
A “Beauty and the Geek”-inspired presentation also taught the kids more about Fr Henry Backhaus, the first priest in the Bendigo Goldfields.
The annual Founders’ Day event is held at the college, raising money for the Sisters of Mercy and the Marist Brothers’ missions.
