New suspect in Long Gully tot death

Police have a new suspect in the murder of Zayden Veal.

Police will apply in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday for a warrant to question a jailed burglar over the death of the Long Gully baby.

The 11-month-old died suspiciously in June this year after suffering suspected head injuries. The post mortem of the child won't be publicly released.

Bendigo police were responding to a reported burglary at the Eaglehawk Road address on June 15 when they were told a baby had died suspiciously.
