The bad news is that all the donut-croissant crosses have been sold out – even before they have been made.
The good news is that the proceeds will go to feed those in need via Bendigo Foodshare.
Also, you may be able to pick up a cronut hole from Mister Grimsby's Coffee House.
Sonia Anthony of Masons of Bendigo will make the 550 cronuts from scratch, starting 3am this Friday morning.
The pastries will be filled with lemon curd made with organic, local fruit and dusted in gold icing.
These ‘Golden Nuggets’ sold for $6 a pop, or four for $20, raising more than $2500 for charity.
Those who pre-ordered can pick up their cronuts from Mister Grimsby's Coffee House between 8am and 12pm, with $1 from each coffee sale also going toward Bendigo Foodshare.
Those who didn't can take their chances, or vie for the cronut holes.
