The five kilometre walk or run, or 10 kilometre run, raises funds for the medical ward at Bendigo Health.
In what organisers describe as “the corporate equivalent of a Bendigo Football Netball League premiership” the team with the most participants wins the Corporate Cup.
La Trobe University took out top honours last year after 45 members of its staff competed.
Bendigo Health Foundation fun run co-ordinator Kiri Earl said this year’s run on November 4 was shaping up to be a wonderful event.
“Both the Corporate Cup and Emergency Services Cup challenges will be very hotly contested as teams vie for bragging rights,”she said.
Wild Plumbing has 20 members signed up for the run already.
“We didn’t get in early enough to register our whole team last year and unfortunately some of us missed out,” Wild Plumbing project administrator Alicia Jacobs said.
“But after the success of last year’s race we have rallied together a team of tradies, office staff and management to bring home the 2012 Corporate Cup.”
Ms Jacobs said it was a great way to push the healthy living message and have a bit of fun.
“We are encouraging all of our staff to walk or run in this year’s event with their families,” she said.
