Bridegroom: Deven Pearce
Wedding: February 28, 2015
The meeting
Deven and I met during a night out. Deven was having a few drinks with friends and I was having a girls’ night out with my friends. My friends recognised a few of Deven’s friends and so we struck up a conversation.
The proposal
We had planned a weekend away to Melbourne. On the way to Melbourne we detoured to the Daylesford Chocolate Mill for a hot chocolate then had some lunch in Malmsbury before stopping at the Mount Macedon lookout, where Deven proposed.
The wedding day
Deven’s groomsman consisted of his closest friends and my bridesmaids were my two sisters and Deven’s sister.
Deven and the groomsman got ready at his parents’ house after a morning of golf. The bridesmaid and I got ready at home after getting our hair done at Amor Amor. Amy Drummond from Belle Make up Artistry met us at home to do our make-up.
Deven and I were married at Bendigo Art Gallery with 85 of our closest family and friends in attendance. The ceremony was followed by a cocktail reception at the Bendigo Art Gallery Café. Min and the Colin Band provided the music. Bendigo Art Gallery was a beautiful venue and the day couldn’t have been more perfect. Thank you to Renzo and the team at the gallery for doing an amazing job with everything.
The bouquets were made by Miranda at Eternal Vase.
The dress
My wedding dress was custom made by Larissa Holland at Frocked. The dress was made with tulle, satin and stunning lace. Larissa did an amazing job. My dress was perfect and everything I had asked for. I would recommend Larissa without hesitation.
The cake
We had a cupcake tower consisting of eight different flavours made by Julie-Anne from the Cakewalk
The photographer
Our photographer was the beautiful Ildiko Gagyor. Ildi captured every moment of our special day – from getting ready to the very end of the reception when we left. Ildi did a fantastic job and provided us with the most amazing photos, which will be able to look back on and remember how perfect our day was.
The honeymoon
We left for our three-week honeymoon the day after our wedding and first headed to Langkawi for a relaxing getaway before heading to Singapore for a week and finishing in Kuala Lumpur.
