Emergency services were called to Prouses Road, near the intersection of Nolan Street, about 11pm last night.
Police said the man lost traction after doing a burnout in his Ford sedan and crashed into the 47-year-old woman's Mazda wagon, pushing it off the road and into a wooden fence.
The woman sustained rib and chest injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to the Bendigo hospital in a serious but stable condition.
