ABC's Four Corners on Monday revealed footage from Animals Australia of live possums, piglets and rabbits being used as bait for greyhounds in Victoria, Queensland and NSW.
The bank issued a statement which said sponsorships offered by two of its branches to local greyhound racing clubs had been withdrawn.
"The practice of live baiting is illegal and abhorrent," the statement read.
"Bendigo and Adelaide Bank supports moves by the relevant authorities and organisations to take immediate action to stop these practices.
"Our bank continues to partner with community organisations committed to improving standards in the greyhound racing industry.
"We sponsor the Greyhound Adoption Program, we have contributed more than $2 million to the RSPCA’s Adopt-a-Pet initiative, and support the RSPCA’s broader work which aims to ensure all animals are treated humanely."
One of the sport's major sponsors, national meat provider Macro Meats Gourmet Game, has also withdrawn funding.
