Hong Kong: Hong Kong's Department of Justice has directed prosecuting authorities to handle a looming investigation into the multimillion-dollar payments received by Leung Chun-ying from Australian engineering firm UGL, as the city's embattled chief executive faced a fresh escalation of mass protests in the city after talks with pro-democracy protesters broke down.
