Mallori Hutchinson, 16, performed a duet with Mastin at his concert in Ballarat after winning an online competition.
She said the competition ran on social media site Instagram.
Entrants for the competition had to post a 15-second video of themselves singing Mastin's hit song Good Night.
"I entered because my cousin Kailee O'Beirne and I are really big fans of him and follow him around," she said.
"I thought it would be a great experience and I enjoy singing, it's my hobby.
"About four people entered for the Ballarat concert and I won.
"I was so excited."
Mallori said she was nervous before the performance.
"Once I got on stage I was alright and pretty confident," she said.
Mallori said she also got to meet Mastin before the show.
"I've met him a few times, but it was really great to meet him again," she said.
Mastin rose to fame after he won reality television show The X Factor in 2011.
