Rosa and Geary both suffered concussion in last Saturday night’s elimination final win over Eaglehawk.
“They weren’t major issues as far as concussion is concerned,’’ Carter said.
“They’ll both see the doctor on Wednesday and we’re hopeful they’ll get the okay to play.
“We have an extra day up our sleeve this week which will help.
“We’ll be guided by the doctor because we’re no experts in head injuries.”
Rosa and Geary missed most of the second half of the elimination final.
Carter was happy with the way the young Bulldogs’ responded.
“Simon (Rosa) down, Jack Geary down and we had a couple of other guys who battled to run out the game,’’ Carter said.
“To win the game the way we did when Eaglehawk kept coming at us was pleasing.”
Phil Ryan (shoulder) is a certain starter on Sunday.
“Phil copped a good bump, but he played through the pain,’’ Carter said.
“Phil’s a tough kid. He’ll have some treatment this week and he’ll be fine for Sunday.”
