The Bulldogs, who finished the season on top of the A-grade ladder, defeated Mount Pleasant in Saturday's preliminary final to book a spot in the season's decider.
The final score was North Bendigo 42 to Mount Pleasant 37.
"It was an up and down sort of game, so we were lucky to be in front at crucial stages of the match," North Bendigo coach Tamara Gilchrist said.
The Blues mounted a comeback in the final quarter, scoring 14 goals to 10, but it wasn't enough to bridge the gap.
Bulldogs shooter Rebecca Smith scored 32 goals in the victory, with goal attacker Jacqueline Button netting 10 goals.
Gilchrist said heading into the match the team felt the pressure to perform after last week's loss to Colbinabbin and feared losing in straight sets.
"We were nervous before the game, but I thought the girls really responded well," she said.
"The pressure is off us now.
"We know next week is going to be a really close and hard fought match, but we are really excited about it and looking forward to the build up."
The HDNA grand final will be played in Huntly on Saturday afternoon.
