Aiming for a sixth consecutive senior premiership, Golden Square will have to do it the hard way to claim the Bendigo Advertiser cup.
The Bulldogs won both of this season's contests with Eaglehawk, but the Borough's confidence has soared after last Saturday's victory against Sandhurst to reach another finals series.
Fourth quarter, 26 mins: Bulldogs lead 119-95.
Fourth quarter: Golden Square leads by 23 points at 22-minute mark.
Fourth quarter, 18th minute: Another Sean Williams goal puts Eaglehawk within 21 points.
Fourth quarter, 15 mins: Another goal to Square puts the Dogs up by 28 points. Lot of crowd's attention is on fight in crowd in South Bendigo FNC social rooms pocket. Security has taken control.
Fourth quarter, 10 mins: Golden Square leads 110-82.
Fourth quarter, 6th minute: Snap by Greenwood touched on line. Dogs by five goals.
Fourth quarter, 5th minute. Second of term for Jacob Greenwood, this time on the run. Golden Square leads 109-80.
Fourth quarter, 2nd minute; Golden Square's Jacob Greenwood goals from swimming pool pocket. Dogs by 22 points.

Another closely fought term in which Square held sway, but the Hawks kept on fighting.
Square's depth being tested as stars Jack Geary and Simon Rosa were both hurt in physical clashes and spent a lot of time off the ground..

Third quarter, 13th minute: Bulldogs' on-baller Jack Daley goals on run. Square leads 83-66.
Third quarter, 12th minute: Golden Square up by 11 points after Che Walls goals.
Third quarter, 10 mins: Sean Williams goals for Hawks after marking Brodie Filo's long, high kick from swimming pool pocket to goalsquare. Golden Square leads 71-66.
Third quarter, 7 mins: It's the Corey Jones show as he kicks fifth time, this time a banana kick from near the point post at the scoreboard side at the city end. Square leads 71-59.
Third quarter, 3 mins: Square hits front as Simon Rosa goals on run in pocket. At same time Jack Geary heads to bench looking slightly groggy. Bulldogs lead 65-58.
Third quarter, 2 mins: Corey Jones left-foot shot on run through the city-end goal. Hawks lead 59-58.
Half-time: Eaglehawk leads 9.5 (59) to 7.10 (52).
A superb contest of contrasting quarters. Hawks blitzed for most of first term, but Square seized control in the second to be back within a point before Pascale Craig's late goal for the Borough.
Sean Williams has kicked three goals for Hawks.
The classy Corey Jones in a lot of play for the Dogs and has kicked team-high three goals.

Second quarter, 23rd minute: Square's play has lifted dramatically. Eaglehawk now leads by a point, 53-52, after being up by almost six goals in first term.

Second quarter, 14 mins: Ruckman Matt Compston takes pack mark and goals. Hawks lead 53-42.
Second quarter, 12th minute. Brodie Filo goals for Hawks after captain Luke Button charges through centre and kicks long. Hawks lead 53-36.
10 mins: There is no significant breeze, but 10 of the 12 goals have been scored at the Barnard Street end.
Second quarter, 8 mins: Square charging back as James Molinaro goals. Hawks lead 47-36.
Second quarter, 6 mins: Square within 17 points after Corey Jones goals from 50m. Bulldogs starting to win more contests, Hawks lead 47-30.
Second quarter, 4th minute: Golden Square's Jacob Greenwood caught high near goal. Kicks his team's third goal. Eaglehawk leads 47-24.
Second quarter, 3 mins: Eaglehawk leads by 29 points, but dealt a blow as Riley McIvor hurts left shoulder when tackled.
Quarter-time: Eaglehawk 7.3 (45) leads Golden Square 2.6 (18).
Remarkable start by the Hawks as set or shots on run were on target. Sean Williams causing Golden Square defence plenty of headaches.
Square let down by inaccuracy.

First quarter, 6 mins: Briiliant start by Borough rolls on. Williams, second, and Damian Wust on target as Eaglehawk kicks away to lead 25-2.
