Athletes will navigate their way through the complex granite terrain in Kooyoora State Park that was mapped for the 1985 world titles.
The Victorian middle distance championship will be held on Saturday afternoon, with courses set for junior and master age classes, as well as the elites.
On Sunday, competitors will contest either the Victorian long distance championship or the demanding Australian Ultra-Long event.
The Bendigo and Eureka orienteering clubs are hosting the weekend.
