The last time the band played in Bendigo was at Groovin the Moo in 2012.
Back then, the five-piece group was a last-minute addition to the GTM bill and was in the middle of its first national tour.
Ball Park Music’s unique instrumentals, lyrics and themes have made them sit apart from other bands early in its career.
“There were these crazy ideas, and we work with this guy who, it doesn’t matter what we come to him with, makes it happen," guitarist Dean Hanson said.
“It might be a silly idea but it feels like endless thought train and there is a lot of time in the van to discuss those sorts of ideas.”
Today Ball Park Music is much more refined in its sound but still retains the same crazy ideas in the lyrics of its songs.
This year's single She Only Loves Me When I'm There shows how the band has matured in the two years since its debut album.
Ball Park Music released its third album, Puddinghead, in April this year and has just signed a new international album tour.
Stand-out performances at Splendour in the Grass this year have also given the band momentum for its European tour, which follows its Australian shows.
A highlight at Splendour in the Grass was She Only Loves Me When I'm There and a cover of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.
Ball Park Music's Trippin’ The Light Fantastic Tour starts in Hobart on September 12.
It arrives at the Black Swan Hotel in Bendigo on October 9. For tickets log on to www.oztix.com.au
