Geary is one of two players that aren't playing with a VFL side to be selected in the squad.
Thomas Paule from Old Melbournians was also named in the VFL squad.
The game will be played at Trevor Barker Oval in Sandringham on November 16.
Players selected in the team will need to learn and adapt to the International Rules format.
“The match will provide a unique opportunity for these players to experience the hybrid form of the game, and to test themselves against an overseas team,” AFL Victoria State League Manager John Hook said.
“The game is a great chance to promote the quality of players in the VFL, the clubs they represent and the competition itself.”
Bendigo Gold's Aussie Jones has been named as an assistant coach.
The first training session for the squad will be on November 11.
