POLICE have charged a man after 139 firearms were seized from a property in Myers Flat, near Bendigo.

Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit detectives joined uniform members to raid a rural property on Saturday morning and located the firearms.
Members seized 37 long arms along with 102 assorted firearms.
Some of the weapons are believed to be vintage and of historical significance.
Police have also seized a number of swords, knives, daggers and ammunition.
The man has been charged with possessing a trafficable quantity of firearms, dealing in firearms, possessing firearms with no serial number and possessing prohibited weapons.
He has been bailed to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on 10 November, 2014.
