Girl injured in car driven by learner

A girl was taken to Bendigo Base Hospital this morning with a broken collar bone today after being injured in a collision.

Sergeant Mick McCrann said the girl was the passenger in a vehicle driven by an unsupervised learner driver who was "hoon driving".

The car collided with another vehicle in Oswald Street, California Gully, before the driver fled the scene.

Police located the learner driver shortly afterwards and breath tested him.

More details to come.
