AS support mounted for a playground in honour of Zayden Veal-Whitting, family and friends continued to scout ideal locations in Bendigo.
Zayden's aunt Angie Whitting said the family had been in regular contact with the City of Greater Bendigo and community groups to find a fitting place.
She said the latest site for consideration would be at Crook St, Kennington.
"My brother James, as well as Michelle, have been really helpful in coming to meetings with the council and other groups," Ms Whitting said.
"We want it to be a bright playground - bright and fun."
Almost 200 people attended a fundraiser for the project in Newbridge on Saturday.
Ms Whitting said she was overwhelmed by the support from the Newbridge community, Newbridge Hotel and others who made the trip to the event.
There is also a "Yellow Walk" event at Lake Weeroona planned from 10am on Sunday, August 31.
