WEDNESDAY: The Central Victoria Response unit executed a search warrant under the Drugs, Poison and Controlled Substances Act at the Somerville Street, Flora Hill, house and found what police described as a "crop house".
"On entry to the address police found each of the rooms in the interior of the house were set up or designed to grow cannabis plants," Sergeant Mick Peckham said.
"In addition to the 100 cannabis plants police also seized hydroponic equipment such as grow lamps, water pumps, transformers and exhaust fans."
Sergeant Peckham said a 63-year-old man was taken into custody and was awaiting interview and a remand application.
The man was the sole occupant of the house.
"The remand application is in relation to cultivating and possessing a commercial quantity of cannabis," he said.
