The team that includes Catholic College Bendigo pair Imogen Sexton and Meg Williams cruised to victory in six of its seven matches by an average margin of 25 goals.
They went down by just three in their only loss, a hard-fought game against the undefeated New South Wales, and came from behind in their last round robin game to secure a six-goal win over South Australia.
Unfortunately, mid-court star Williams rolled her ankle badly in her side’s match against Western Australia on Sunday.
Sexton was busy for Team Vic during Wednesday’s 52-28 win over Queensland, affecting many intercepts throughout from her position in goal keeper.
Both girls play for Sandhurst in the Bendigo Football Netball League.
Their state team is coached by former BFNL identity Kate Bird (nee Wastell), who spent several years at the helm of Castlemaine.
Victoria will play Queensland in semi-final action on Thursday before taking to the court for finals on Friday.
