"Splash-paint me" includes impromptu paintings by members of the general public who may not have had painting experience.
Participants were given a short amount of time to make their mark on a canvas, using acrylic paints and other materials, including found objects.
People worked collaboratively to produce the final products - colourful painted canvases with contributions from many people. The project was a Heathcote Community House initiative and was funded by the City of Greater Bendigo.
Mari Basile, from Heathcote Community House, said the project was about providing participants with and a sense of enjoyment and achievement and "some extra bonding time with friends and colleagues".
Participants included local members of the State Emergency Service.
The exhibition will run until July 25.
