Last Wednesday, the Junortoun woman received an email learning she had drawn Germany in a Bendigo Advertiser sweep she had entered a few weeks prior.
"My friend called on Saturday to tell me my name was in the paper and I had a 50 per cent chance of winning and I was so surprised!" she said.
Mrs Barrow confesses that until that point, she hadn't watched a single game of the tournament.
But she did see the second half of Monday's match, looking on in jubilation with husband Brett as Mario Goetze scored the goal that won Germany the title and Mrs Barrow her holiday.
She won five nights accommodation at the luxury Grande Florida beachside resort and $200 spending money towards flights.
Mrs Barrow said she had family living on the Gold Coast and was thrilled to have the chance to visit them.
She will visit with Brett and children Hannah, 16, and Mitchell, 13.
