BENDIGO Gold endured more heartache as Casey Scorpions won Saturday's VFL clash on Bendigo's turf by two points.

The Scorpions stung Gold with the final goal of a superb contest to win 12.14 (86) to 12.12 (84) at Queen Elizabeth Oval.

Leading goalkickers for Gold were Tyrone Downie, Che Walls and Alex Pollock on two apiece.

Gold's best were Daniel Toman, Alik Magin, Che Walls, Brandon Hayes, Joe Redfern and Tyrone Downie.

The two-point loss at home followed Gold's five-point defeat to Northern Blues in its previous home game at the QEO.

Just five points separated Lockington-Bamawm United and Leitchville-Gunbower at the end of their Heathcote District Football League clash at Lockington.

LBU led by 20 points at half-time and by 19 at a quarter to go.

The Leitchville-Gunbower Bombers scored 2.3 to a a point in a dramatic final quarter, but it was the LBU Cats who clawed their way to a 64-59 victory.

The Cats' attack was led by Jonathan Hay, three goals; Lachlan Collins and Jeremy Mundie, two apiece.

Leading goalkicker for the Bombers was Russell Lee on two.

LBU's best were Daniel Lucas, Marcus Angove, Trent Bacon and Matt Bongiovanni.

Best for Leitchville-Gunbower were Jackson McEwen, Jye Keath and Brad Perry.

North Bendigo's Damien Webb kicked 10 goals in a best-on-ground performance against Heathcote.

The ladder-leading North Bendigo showed no mercy in a 121-point victory against the Saints.

The Mitiamo Superoos had plenty to celebrate on their 125th anniversary celebrations.

Mitiamo bounded to a 62-point victory in the Loddon Valley Football League clash with Calivil United.

Brayden Baines led Mitiamo's atack on three goals as Mitiamo went on to win 86-24.

Mitiamo's best were Baines, Daniel Meroli, Aaron McKean and James Drake.

Best for Calivil United were Lloyd Maxted, Jonas Somerville and Justin Hynes.

Pyramid Hill kicked away in the second half to beat Marong by 37 points at Mitchell Park.

The Bulldogs led by five points at half-time, but slammed on 4.2 to a point in the crucial third quarter between the league's second and third-placed teams.

Sam Kennedy was leading goalkicker for the winners on three.

Marong coach Corey Gregg was his team's only multiple goalkicker on two.

Best for Pyramid Hill were Liam Bartels, Balraj Singh and Brad Fawcett.

Wedderburn's Sam Barnes kicked seven goals as the Redbacks won their North Central Football League match at Donald by 98 points.

Cameron Perry, Mark Lloyd, Daniel Gash and Jaran McKay led the way in Wedderburn's big victory.

Donald's Seamus Young kicked three goals.

The Bendigo Pioneers were held to just two goals in their TAC Cup under-18s match against Dandenong Stingrays.

Playing at home, Dandenong dominated most of the clash at Shepley Oval to win 87-22.
