The 1920s Great Gatsby-themed event is the brainchild of Team Teal, a group of Bendigo women raising money for next year's Weekend to End Women's Cancers.
Team captain Janelle Crouch said the 11-strong team had been fundraising since March and were hoping to reach $50,000 for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
"We've all been touched by cancer to some degree," Ms Crouch said.
"The more money we can raise for research and to increase the level of care, the more chance our kids will have to grow up and not be affected by cancer."
Tickets are $100 and will include a three-course meal, drinks, auctions and a raffle, as well as music from the Creepy Seals.
In the lead-up to the event, Team Teal will also be holding a fundraising barbecue at Quarry Hill's Ken Wust Oval from 9am to noon on July 12.
The ball is at 7pm on August 9, at Silks, Bendigo Jockey Club. For more information, email bendigoteamteal@gmail.com.
