At the top of the straight Senor Socks ($8.20) was well clear in the 425m contest.
Rated one of the best sprinters in the field, Warrior King ($4.90) was just that as he bolted past Senior Socks to win the race for the $45,000 winner’s prize by 2 1/2 lengths.
The James and Brooke Ennis-trained Warrior King ruled in a time of 23.75 seconds.
Senor Socks was runner-up in the Group Two race ahead of White Spyro ($7.40) at Lord’s Raceway in Junortoun.
Grubby fought on to win the Bendigo Advertiser Super Gobis final run earlier in the night.
A $5 shot in the 500m final, Grubby held off High Speed Chase ($4.60) by 1 1/4 lengths as Lektra ($12.10) beat $1.70 favourite Agent Jack.
Maryborough trainer Joe Borg celebrated victory after the fourth race on the card.
The Borg-trained Premier Hawk started a $3 favourite in the GRV VBIS Maiden Final and did not let punters down.
Premier Hawk flew around the track to win the 425m duel by three lengths from Senor Grumpy ($4.40).
