You would expect a majority of people would love to see the old rattlers working the streets of Bendigo once more.
But that same majority would have one major concern... cost.
You wouldn't think putting trams back into active service for public transport and extending their reach with new lines would be a cheap project.
Still, if the state government is happy to put up the bulk of the cash for a feasibility study, we as a community shouldn't knock that back.
As long, of course, as they are in for the long haul moneywise should the study find the return of trams to Bendigo streets a worthy exercise.
