But her I Am A ... Band tour arrives in Bendigo this Saturday.
“It has been a fairly long time. Four or five years,” Justine said.
“I had some time and really wanted to visit (some regional centres). I think it’s very important.
“The tour is based on the songs the kids all know and love.”
Justine said a lot of her fans were in regional areas and that her shows were a great way to introduce kids to live music and shows.
Songs from the show come from Justine's ARIA award winning album A Little Day Out With Justine.
“I can’t wait to get there and see what the crowd is doing,” she said.
“I love seeing the kids there who love the songs. That’s what I want.”
Justine said when she was a girl she wanted to be in the Wizard of Oz.
“In a way I have,” she said.
“My costume is a bit like Dorothy’s, the sets are all bright and there a lot of weird and wonderful backdrops with fabric and big ball of twine.
“We have created a bit of wonderland of Oz.”
Justine is also enjoying her role on ABC show The Time of Our Lives which began it’s new season last week.
Justine Clarke’s I Am A ... Band tour arrives at The Capital theatre in Bendigo on Saturday, July 5.
