World Challenge will test the leadership, communication and teamwork skills of the group and, in turn, teach self-awareness and compassion.
More than 20 students will travel to Thailand and Cambodia.
They will participate in several community projects while overseas, which will provide them with a unique chance to experience how developing countries function.
Preparation for the trip is the responsibility of the students, who will be required to monitor a budget throughout the expedition.
Teacher Graham Crickmore said the trip would be a life-changing experience for the students.
He said students had been busy preparing for the trip.
"It will be a great experience - very life-changing," he said.
Teams helped to renovate more than 130 school classrooms, established 25 new community vegetable gardens and assisted on more than 20 projects dedicated to the conservation of endangered species last year.
Students can travel to more than 50 destinations world-wide, with Fiji, Java and Myanmar recently being added.
