Prisoner on run after escaping from Dhurringile Prison

A man jailed for theft and drug offences is on the run after he escaped from a prison in Victoria’s north.

Police believe Say Hour left Dhurringile Prison between 7pm and 8.30pm on Friday.

A search of the area around the minimum security prison was conducted but the 40-year-old was not found, a police spokeswoman said.

Hour is described as being of Asian appearance, about 167 centimetres tall, of medium build with dark hair.

He has tattoos on his forearms, chest and lower back, and was last seen wearing prison-issued green tracksuit pants and a green jumper.

Police have asked anyone with information about Hour’s whereabouts to call triple zero immediately.
