The week asks Victorian families to pledge a life legacy on a special legacy tree at the Bendigo Town Hall.
The Bendigo Live Your Legacy Day will include face painting, colouring competitions, children entertainer Amazing Mister Mike, a free sausage sizzle by the Rotary Club of Bendigo and a lion and dragon presentation from the Bendigo Chinese Association.
The legacy tree will tour the state in an effort to promote the creation of a living legacy.
State Trustees wanted to encourage people to think about the legacy they leave behind.
The company suggests families talk about their personal legacy with friends and loved ones.
State Trustees research shows more than 60 per cent have not thought about what their legacy will be when they die.
It is a week for people to write or update their will but in a family-friendly atmosphere.
The company said the best time to start taking action is much earlier.
Activities will run from 10am until 2pm on Saturday.
