Meghan Rogers, along with several other new board members, were welcomed at an event recently - marking almost 12 months since the club chartered.
Miss Rogers said she would strive to strengthen the club's presence in the community and increase its membership.
"We want people to know that we are here and we want people to tell us what they need done," she said.
"Already the club has come so far and it's great to be a part of such a wonderful organisation.
"I am very excited for the year ahead - we already have plans for fundraisers and events.
"I am sure it will be another successful year."
The club has been involved in many community projects, including raising money for a trip to Cambodia to assist at an orphanage last year.
