Bendigo Senior Secondary College's talent quest

KEANU Aquino was the winner of Bendigo Senior Secondary College's got talent competition with his rendition of 'I won't give up' on Friday afternoon.

Year 11 and 12 students brought the James King Hall to life with a variety of comedy acts, musical performances and dance routines.

Keanu, who moved to Australia from the Philippines six years ago, said he had always loved to sing.

"I have always loved singing but professionally I probably have only been doing it for a year," he said.

"But I have always been passionate about it.

"Since I came to Bendigo there has actually been a lot of opportunities for me to be a musician.

"It has a lot of things to offer, not just here in Bendigo but all the places around Australia."

Keanu said he hoped to audition for reality television show The Voice.

BSSC student coordinator Jane Warne said Keanu was a "great singer" with a "fabulous voice".

Bendigo Advertiser videographer Leigh Sharp recorded Kenau's winning performance - watch the video below.

But be prepared - he is exceptionally talented - and who knows, he might just be the next big thing!
