Netballers take aim at victory in Castlemaine

HUNDREDS of netballers head to Castlemaine on Sunday, keen to come up trumps at the town's annual tournament.

More than 50 teams from Melbourne and regional Victoria have entered the 2014 event, which is the Castlemaine and District Netball Association's major fund-raiser.

Competition will be held at the Wesley Hill Recreation Centre from 9am, in age groups ranging from 11-under up to 15-under.

Round robin matches comprising eight-minute halves will be played, with trophies awarded to the winners and runners-up in each section.

The tournament has attracted a mix of club teams and representative squads.
