Firefighter radios are upgraded
MINISTER for Police and Emergency Services and Bushfire Response Kim Wells yesterday announced $66 million dollars would be allocated to upgrading firefighter radios.

Launching the Regional Radio Dispatch Service at the Whiteheads Creek-Tarcombe fire station, Mr Wells said the new system would reduce the risk of dispatch communication failures and improve co-ordination between emergency services agencies.
He said the technology was world-class and would provide great assistance to firefighters.
