Snell will be joined by Gabe Richards, Kelly Wilson and Tessa Lavey will be a part of the six day camp at the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence in Canberra.
Snell, who joined the back-to-back WNBL champions the Bendigo Spirit last month, will join the Opals' campaign to the FIBA World Championship for the first time.
The guard was last season playing in Poland, it was there she led her team in scoring in both the domestic and Euroleague competition.
Opals head coach Brendan Joyce said the addition of Snell would add another element of experience to his squad.
He said it was great to have the calibre of Snell back in the squad, especially as the world championships draw closer.
“It’s an exciting time in our preparation to be adding talented, experienced players into the program ahead of next month’s tour of Japan," Joyce said.
Bendigo's Tessa Lavey has also been recalled to the team.
While Richards and Wilson have been a part of the Opals squad for most of the year.
The duo were selected to take part in the tour of the United States last month.
The two week tour of north America saw the Opals compete in scrimmages against WNBA clubs.
The Opals camp will run between June 15 and 20 ahead of their next camp on the New South Wales Central Coast in early July.
