Both teams have had impressive starts to the Heathcote District Netball Association competition.
Griffen said Saturday’s game would be a challenge.
“North Bendigo are the benchmark of the competition at the moment, so it will be great to see exactly where we are at,” she said.
“We are coming off two weeks off, having inter-league and then the bye.
“We put in a pretty lacklustre performance in our last game, so it will be interesting to see how we respond to the challenge.”
Griffen said from the first whistle, both teams would be putting on a lot of pressure.
“The competition in the HDNA has been very tight this season, so this game between the top two teams should be a great game to watch,” she said.
Griffen said the Bulldogs were a well-drilled team with a lot of height in the goal ring.
She said the A-grade team would have to make the most of its opportunities if it has any chance of scoring the win.
“North Bendigo do play a physical game, however it will be about trying to stop the supply into their goalers, particularly Bec Smith who has shot some amazing scores this season,” Griffen said.
“We will need to apply a lot of mid court pressure into North’s attacking end to help out our defenders.”
