BENDIGO Thunder siblings Lily and Grace Campbell will be part of a historic female football trifecta when they run out onto the Whitten Oval for Victoria Country’s under-21 squad on Saturday.

It is believed the match will mark the first time three sisters have represented the Big V on the footy field in the same year.
They complete the feat that began when younger sister Ruby played for Vic Country at the under-18 youth girls national championships in Canberra in May.
AFL Victoria female football development manager Chyloe Kurdas said two sisters - and even twins - had played in state teams together, but she couldn’t recall any other trios making the grade in the same season.
Kurdas said it was a big achievement for all three siblings to represent their state and set a good example for other female players in the Bendigo region.
“It’s great to see that Lily and Grace have made the transition from youth girls to senior football and are leading the way, playing for Vic Country under-21s” Kurdas said.
“And hopefully, Ruby will continue to follow in their footsteps.”
The inaugural under-21 match between Vic Country and Vic Metro starts at noon.
The senior metro v country game - featuring Bendigo Thunder's Alana McNabb, Sarah Baldwin and Amanda Carrod - kicks off at 2pm.
