Coach Peter Knights named a squad of 39 on Monday, with the squad to be trimmed to 24 for the game against a Victoria metropolitan representative squad at Geelong on July 12.

Golden Square's Geary and Coe, Eaglehawk's Filo and Gisborne's Waters earned selection on the back of strong performances in Bendigo's inter-league win over Gippsland last month.

Gippsland had two players - Luke Collins and Ryan Pendlebury - selected in the squad.
