Sims scored the touchdown in the first half, during its round five match against the South Eastern Predators at Endeavour Hills.
The final score was 6 to 0 in favour of Bendigo.
The win now puts the Dragons in third place on the senior men's conference A ladder.
The Dragons next game will be the first home game in Bendigo for the season.
They will take on the Monash Barbarians at Tom Flood Sports Centre on Saturday at 7pm.
