Pedestrian hit by car in Kennington

UPDATE: 8.30PM: Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen has confirmed the man has sustained arm and head injuries. 

He said the man had been taken to Bendigo hospital in a serious but stable condition.

An ambulance was called to the scene just after 7.30pm.

EARLIER: AN 83-year-old man has been hit by a car near the intersection of Glencoe Street and Skene Street in Kennington.

Paramedics and police are on the scene.

Police said a female driver was turning right from Skene Street onto Glencoe Street when she hit the man.

The man has been taken to hospital with a possible dislocated shoulder and head injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
