Epsom students skip for hearty cause

HEART beats were racing at Epsom Primary School on Thursday as students skipped for the Heart Foundation's Jump Rope for Heart program.

The students joined hundreds of other schools across the country to raise money for the organisation - shining a spotlight on the importance of health.

Heart Foundation chief executive Lyn Roberts said the program centered around promoting a healthy lifestyle in children and young adults.

"The program is positioned to educate families, school communities and students about the importance of keeping their hearts healthy through physical activity and nutrition."
